It’s not about hiring skills; it’s about hiring attitude. You can teach skills; you can’t teach attitude.” – Herb Kelleher
Who am I? I’m Vivek Arya, a product designer and engineer who learned everything from YouTube, Google, and Generative AI—with a little help from trial and error. 😄
I was born and raised in Roorkee, Uttarakhand, and did my schooling at ABN School inside the IIT Roorkee campus, where I first heard about JEE Advanced. With no formal coaching, I self-prepared, cracked the exam, and joined IIT (BHU) Varanasi in 2018.
During my first year, I explored everything from coding to cooking, but in second year, I found my true passion—building products. That’s when I co-founded Happy Minds (now WellM) with a senior, acting as a Product Manager, where I designed user-centric experiences for a mental wellness platform. We successfully ran the startup for two years, and in my final year, we sold it to a big firm.
🚀 From Startups to Industry
During the same time (thanks to COVID), I worked as an Intern at two startups—Programming Pathshala and Imumz, where I learned user engagement strategies and product development and applied those insights to our own product.
Post-graduation, I joined Xapads Media as an Associate Product Designer to learn about higher-level product strategy and management. I worked on:
✅ Xtudio.ai – A platform that merges a Rich Media Ad Builder with programmatic serving, simplifying campaign management for advertisers.
✅ Chatie.ai – An experimental Generative AI-powered chatting app, pushing the boundaries of AI-human interaction.
With 4+ years of experience in UX, UI, and product development, I now freelance, helping startups and businesses design intuitive, impactful products. I’ve worked on 30+ projects, combining my passion for AI, design, and problem-solving.
💡 Let’s Build Something Awesome!
I’m always open to discussing startup ideas, freelance projects, or just having a friendly conversation. Feel free to DM me—I won’t mind. 😄
