About the Opportunity
Oikotechno is a fast-evolving IT infrastructure and data center solutions provider operating across Japan, delivering high-availability network, server, and telecom services to enterprise clients. As digital transformation accelerates in Japan’s financial, logistics, and manufacturing sectors, we deploy, maintain, and troubleshoot mission-critical infrastructure on-site — bridging the gap between engineering design and physical implementation in real-world environments.
Role & Responsibilities
- Perform on-site installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of enterprise-grade network devices (routers, switches, firewalls, wireless APs) and data center hardware.
- Execute physical layer tasks — cabling (Cat6, fiber), rack mounting, labeling, power distribution, and asset tracking across client sites and colocation facilities.
- Support Layer 2/3 network deployment and validation, including VLANs, routing protocols (OSPF, BGP), and basic security policies under engineer supervision.
- Respond to high-priority infrastructure outages with rapid on-site resolution, documenting root cause and preventive actions for SLA compliance.
- Coordinate with remote network operations center (NOC) and vendors for escalation, parts delivery, and configuration handoff to ensure minimal downtime.
- Adhere strictly to safety, compliance, and change management protocols during all field activities across client and DC environments.
